Hello,
I am such a huge fan of your books. Everytime I flip through them I laugh. Now often does it happen that you read a COOKBOOK and that you laugh out loud. You’ve got to love that.
Thanks for making me laugh and eat well all at the same time.
I would love to have an autographed book for you wonderful ladies.
Sandra
P.S your blog is great and Janet hope your finger and you are feeling better.

Glad for the opportunity to comment. I’ve been cooking from (and recommending) your cookbooks since Looneyspoons came out. Have never had a recipe not turn out, and find that they are perfect for both family dinners and dinner parties (one of my favourites remains Marla’s Maple Pork from Crazy Plates). I made The Great Pretenderloin for Easter (my girlfriend will be thrilled that I used the name – I think that next to the recipes, that’s her favourite part of the books) with some roasted root vegetables (with salt and pepper) and stuffing with nuts and cranberries. Nobody believed that it was low fat! I gave credit where credit was due, and I’m sure that they’ve since bought your book(s).
I hope that you follow up your piece on bananas with the discussion on fruit flies – I’m dying to know how they find me.
Keep up the great work, ladies. Most of my recipe books are put away, the only ones that are handy are your three, the Joy of Cooking, and a fabulous Fruit and Vegetable guide that takes the fear out of fresh produce. You’re in pretty good company, I’d say.

Hey Ladies! Absolutely love (and swear by!) all three of your books. Thanks so much!!!

You ladies have saved my life!!
I was not the best cook in the world when I met my fiance (the wedding is now less than TWO months away!!).
His mother gave my your Looneyspoons book… I LOVE it!!
I have tried a few recepies from your Eat, Shrink & Be Merry book and already I am in love! The recepies are so easy to follow and at times I swear my fiance thinks I am a miracle worker when it comes to making dinner!
I have been forbidden from buying ES&BM due to the fact that my bridal shower is just over a week away… but wouldn’t it be great if I received it in the mail before then?!?!? : )
Thanks again ladies and keep em coming!!

I already have an autographed copy of your book but have lots of friends whom, together, we are sharing our journey to a healthier lifestyle, while loosing weight. So far our group has close to 500 lbs.
Your recipes grace my dinner table at least 5 nights a week. I am so looking forward to your next book.
When are your pizzas coming to Alberta?

Would love to win a copy of your book Eat, Shrink and Be Merry for my daughter-in-law. I already have one, and use it a lot.

Though I’ve never been to your site, I was referred by an entry on SparkPeople.com, and now I’ve got you bookmarked. I’m excited to see what I find on your website, especially since reading all the previous comments and how everyone seems to love your site as well as your books. I’ve been working on losing weight with a “diet” though I prefer to use the term of “new lifestyle” instead since September 2005. So far I have lost 30 lbs., working on 20 more then would like to maintain my weight. I absolutely LOVE websites that offer tips, advice, with an ounce of humor thrown in, so I think I’ll grow to love coming here. Thanks for offering this up, and especially for free. So many sites out there offer up their advice but only with a monthly fee. But I’d like to believe that I can lose weight and eventually maintain…withOUT having to spend much more money than I already spend. And I think I’m doing it. Yay!

Way cool…slimming down and bloggin what concept. I have seriously never posted to a blog before and had to ask a co-worker hwat exactly they were. Guess I am my mother now LOL…But really losing weight is a good thing and I am up for the challenge. Started looking at food in a different way this year as a health thing rather than I am hungry feed me knid of thing. And it’s working have lost 15 of the 40 I ‘d like to lose but still neeed to make new changes and try new things. looks like a copy of that cookbook may be just the right place to kick off a new month. Thanks in advance ! ( hint hint ) CMB

I would love to have this cookbook. I started my healthy lifestyle journey in November 2004 and so far it’s been great. I still eat what I want, but portion control is key and my measuring spoons and cups are my new best friends!
I love food and love trying new recipes, so I hope I get picked as a winner!
Stephane | April 27, 2006 at 10:45 pm →
I’ve heard so much about your book from others but haven’t gotten round to actually trying out a recipe yet. I would love to win a copy to see what the fuss is all about!
P/S Yes, I’m a guy, and yeah, I cook (but I think I could get better with your help)!
Angie | April 28, 2006 at 12:47 am →
I heard about your cookbooks thru an online friend. I never had the privilage of owning one though. Maybe with a little good luck, I will get to become a proud new owner of one
(Sound like I am trying to win a car! LOL) I am easily excited. That’s just my nature. I like the smaller things in life and I love sharing recipes!
Great idea and keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for putting together such a great book. It truly makes healthy cooking fun. I am a beginner when it comes to cooking and I found these recipes very easy to follow. Not only that but they allow me to be more adventerous when otherwise I wouldn’t be. For instance, last night I cooked with tofu for the first time while preparing Tongue Thai’d. It was simply delicious!
