If you’ve been searching for our new fully-cooked, gourmet chicken burgers at Costco and haven’t been able to locate them, just remember to look in the “refrigerator/deli” section, NOT the frozen aisles, and NOT in the refrigerator section that’s behind glass doors. You’ll find them in the refrigerator bunkers near the sausages, cheeses, falafel, etc. Ask a smiley Costco employee and they’ll point you in the right direction. And if you still can’t find them, it’s because they’re sold out! Hurray!
At this time, the burgers are in the L.A.-area, Seattle, western Canada and Ontario Costco stores only. (Ottawa Costco stores should have them in a week or two. Patience!) Hopefully it’s just a matter of time before many other regions across North America jump on the burger bandwagon.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been getting tons of positive feedback. Thanks so much for your emails and phone calls!! I personally can’t wait for our other products to hit store shelves, especially the unbelievably delicious Ultimate Veggie Burger that Greta has somehow miraculously concocted in her very own kitchen. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, high in protein and fiber, containing two super-grains (chia and quinoa). There’s really nothing like it anywhere. Honest! And best of all, it tastes super-great!
Stay tuned for more updates…
Oh, and one more thing: For those of you who watch our Food Network TV series, the third season of Eat, Shrink & Be Merry will begin airing some time in September. Loads of great recipes and loads of fun. It might be our best season yet!

Just tried a free sample today (gotta love Costco for that!) and bought myself some! They’re yummy!

Hi,
Would someone be able to tell me what roasted veggies are in the chicken burgers. Allergic to tomatoes and before I have someone go to Costco for me I would like to know. I hope they don’t because I would love to try them.
Thanks

Are the Ultimate Veggie Burgers soy-free? PLEASE say yes!!!!!
4 Janet Podleski // Jul 13, 2009 at 1:23 pm
To answer the above two questions together, The Ultimate Veggie Burger as Greta has developed it so far does have soy protein. The 4 types of roasted veggies in it are portobello mushrooms, zucchini, onion and red bell pepper…same as our chicken burgers only more of them. Plus lots of other good stuff and bold herbs and spices. (Note: We don’t have a date yet for when these Veggie Burgers will be in stores.)

I’ve had one for lunch for the past 4 days - and my brother has had the other 4! haha We definitely should’ve bought more than one box!!

Thanks so much for the answer Greta and Janet. Can’t wait to try them.

As you can see my name is Janet and my mother’s name is Greta. She just recently passed away, so the other day while shopping at Costco I passed the aisle with your Janet and Greta Patties. You can just imagine. At first, I thought I was seeing things. Of course out came the camera as I was smiling from ear to ear. I think everyone at Costco thought I was crazy. My mom would have really got a kick out of it as has all my family. I have emailed everyone I know to tell them about your product. Our Costco is now sold out, but I found the next nearest Costco has plenty - thank goodness. This will be served at our house for quite a while!

Thanks, Janet, for your lovely comment above. Greta and I really appreciate your support.
All the best, Janet Podleski

Thanks for creating such a delicious chicken burger. It is absolutely the very best I have ever tasted thanks to your concoction of bold spices and natural ingredients. My husband and I have a hard time limiting ourselves to just one at a time. They are that good! I am telling all my friends to check out your website and to go to Costco to stock up on these yummy things. Can’t wait until your veggie burger makes its debut.
Keep up the good work,
Ruth

I can’t find your burgers at Seattle area Costco’s anymore. Please ask them to restock.
12 Gab // Aug 12, 2009 at 5:30 pm
My dad’s local Costco (L.A.-area) told him the gourmet chicken burgers are discontinued. Any truth to this?
13 Greta Podleski // Aug 13, 2009 at 8:32 am
Hi Gab! It’s possible the LA-area Costco stores are treating these burgers as a seasonal product, meaning they are clearing out summer products (burgers) to bring in fall and winter products (yes, already!). I will find out. I think our burgers should be sold 12 months/year, dont’ you? People don’t like burgers LESS in December than they do in June, they just don’t want to dig out their grill if they live in a cold climate. In the LA-area, you can grill outdoors all year round and, besides that, we have solved that problem by pre-cooking our burgers so you don’t have to bother with a grill in the first place. Personally, I love bringing the burgers to my office for lunch, and I will be so disappointed if I can’t buy them in the fall and winter! We may need to start an email campaign to Costco headquarters if these burgers are taken out of stores!!

Toronto’s still got them, thankfully! I just bought myself a few more boxes yesterday (unlike last time when I made the mistake of only buying 1 box! haha) and half of the first box is gone already…..

Hi girls, I work at a costco in Alberta Canada. Just bought some of the Buffalo Blue meat balls yesterday. I was wondering why you don’t have some kind of recipe on the package for a sauce to serve with them. I have also looked at your home page and haven’t found a recipe for this product as well. Would it be possible to post one or two suggestions for them?
16 Trudy // Aug 28, 2009 at 4:08 pm
Hi I just bought the Gourmet Chicken Burgers at Costco after trying a demo but was told it is just a summer promotion. Where can I buy them if Costco is’nt going to sell them?
17 Greta Podleski // Aug 31, 2009 at 9:35 am
Trudy, we need everyone who enjoys our chicken burgers to ask Costco to keep them in stock! If customers demand the product, Costco may keep them available all year round. I think our chicken burgers would be wonderful to eat all year ’round, don’t you? No need for a barbecue, plus they’re great to take to work for lunch, since you can heat them in a microwave. They are not sold in any other stores, unfortunately.

I just made the buffalo chicken meatballs, and I have to say they are fabulous! Finally something healthy that doesn’t taste like sawdust. I haven’t tried the burgers yet, but will next time I go to Costco. Are there more products to choose from? I am a lazy dieter, and need inspiration or healthy options, just short of my own chef! Thanks ladies.
19 Greta Podleski // Sep 1, 2009 at 10:24 am
Thanks for your question, Nikki. I’m glad you liked the meatballs! Costco (in Western Canada only) is doing a trial of 4 new products of ours: the Buffalo blue meatballs you bought, Tuscan (Italian) meatballs (my fav!), turkey club sausages and chicken sausages with 7 vegetables. Depending on which products are the bestsellers, they will likely stock 2 of the 4 products this fall and winter. I have not heard the results of the trial yet, other than it went very well!

21 Janet Podleski // Sep 14, 2009 at 3:42 pm
No, our products do not contain MSG.
22 Victor // Sep 17, 2009 at 1:51 pm
Went to cosco and found out your burgers were no longer available is this true is there anywhere else to get them in Ontario…
23 Marlene // Sep 23, 2009 at 8:26 pm
I went to Costco tonight(Burlington, ON) to get some chicken burgers….no luck….they have been “deleted”. Is there anywhere else I might be able to buy them? Please say yes !!!
They are sooooooooooooo good !!!
24 Greta Podleski // Sep 24, 2009 at 9:41 am
Costco is treating the burgers as a seasonal item so that’s why you couldn’t find them. If we want them back (and we ALL do), we’ll need to fill out a request form and put it in the member suggestion box near the exit. If you can’t find the form or box, please ask at customer service. I am also missing the burgers!!
25 nancy // Oct 2, 2009 at 5:43 pm
I also love the burgers! I was at costco today and they said that they may be clearing them out for winter….you are absolutely right, people still do eat burgers in the winter!!! I’m spreading the word about how good they are!!
26 Jean // Oct 24, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Who needs a BBQ when they cook up great on a Foreman Grill. We hope Costco gets the message and brings them back soon.
27 sandra // Oct 25, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Love Costco for selling your product. A few weeks ago they did a road show with your new sausages. They demo ed the product yeh Costco for that. I bought the Garden Vegetable chicken sausages they where fantastic. I am hoping Costco can get them in again .
28 Michelle // Oct 26, 2009 at 11:36 am
Costco in Montana also stopped carrying your chicken burgers - now what?
29 Greta Podleski // Oct 26, 2009 at 1:47 pm
Michelle, all we can do is ask Costco to bring them back. They have taken them out to make room for seasonal items. Please ask/inquire at the Customer Service Desk next time you’re at Costco. Thanks!
30 Greta Podleski // Oct 26, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Sandra, regarding the sausages, I believe they were a test item and though the testing went AMAZINGLY well, Costco chose to stock our Italian Chicken Meatballs instead of the sausages you like. I love the sausages, by the way, and I’m hopeful that eventually they’ll be a regular Costco item. All you can do is request them when you’re at the store. The more customers they hear from, the more likely they’ll be to stock the item. Thank you so much for your support.

Bought the gourmet chicken burgers 2 weeks ago at Costco (Everett, WA) and went back to buy more but Costco said they discontinued them. HELP! I just told other family members about them and now we can’t buy them. Is there any other stores I can find them in? We just LOVE them. Thanks, Lori Morris
32 Bob Norman // Nov 10, 2009 at 7:58 pm
We were just told that the burgers would no longer be available at any Costco when we asked about them in our local store in Southern CA.
Aren’t these carried by any other stores other than Costco?
33 Terri Tebay // Nov 15, 2009 at 6:48 pm
The Chicken Burgers have not been available in Edmonton or Calgary COSTCO for a few weeks as well. Really miss them, as these were a very good burger.

We haven’t been able to get these fabulous chicken burgers in Saskatoon Costco since August!! My whole family loves these, even my picky 16 year old! I would love to see these available in other grocery stores, is this a possibility?

Only once did I find the fireroasted gourmet chicken burgers at a Wal-mart in Spokane, WA. I purchased a box, tried them and went back to get more……..they were sooooo yummy and I would have bought 10 boxes or more…….but to my dismay, the store didn’t have any and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. They are excellent for those on ww diet….please please tell me where I can get them here in Spokane.
