Eat Shrink And Be Merry

Who’s Bob, you wonder? And why are we in the kitchen with him? Well, it’s Bob Bowersox, the popular and charming host of the TV show–yes, you guessed it–”In the Kitchen with Bob” on QVC, the shopping channel. Greta and I are off to Philadelphia this weekend for an appearance on his top-rated, food-related show. We’ve been appearing on QVC for about ten years now, starting way back when with our first book, Looneyspoons. We’ve been on selling our second book, Crazy Plates, and now we’re on with the third (and our favorite!). And you know what, we count our blessings every day about this fact since just about everyone on the planet who has any kind of product would give their left kidney and maybe even their spleen and gallbladder to have the opportunity to flog their wares in front of an attentive and loyal audience that spans from coast to coast. In a short seven or eight minute segment (That’s all you get! You’ve gotta make the most of each and every word that comes out of your mouth!), we’ll hopefully get the attention of four or five thousand Americans who want to Eat, Shrink and Be Merry. (Heck, who doesn’t want all of those things?)

So to our American blog readers, you can tune in at noon this Sunday, the 8th of June. (And to our Canadian friends, well, sorry, you need an illegal American satellite dish to catch the show. Don’t worry, your secret’s safe with us!)

P.S. My sister and I are particularly excited because Paula Deen, the Food Network star, is also appearing on Sunday! Sure hope we get to meet her!
