All the taste, but not on your waist!

Back from TV Land!

Our sincere apologies! My sister and I haven’t had a chance to blog much lately because we’ve been super-busy filming our Food Network TV series. Over the past couple of weeks, we finished taping the last of 13 new episodes for season two of “Eat, Shrink & Be Merry!” While we got a great response and tons of fan-mail about our first season, both of us think that this season’s even better! If our goal is to trim your tummy while tempting your taste buds and tickling your funny bone, then by gosh, we think we might have done it! We performed some heavy-duty extreme makeovers on some heavy-duty, calorie-laden comfort foods, and we’re sure you’ll love the healthy-yet-delectable results. From spaghetti & meatballs to shepherd’s pie, to quiche and banana bread, to chicken fingers and fudge, to crab cakes and nacho dip, we pretty much cover the whole enchilada as far as comfort foods go. (Actually, enchiladas IS one of our makeover challenges this season! Can our heart-healthy stuffed tortillas compete with fat-laden, hand-rolled enchiladas at an authentic Mexican restaurant, or will this be a case of MexiCAN versus MexiCAN’T? Oh, the suspense!)

Tune in for the season premiere on Saturday, April 5th at 7:30 pm. For those of you who have a big date that night and can’t watch, other time slots include Sunday at 11:00 am, Wed. at 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm. If you like the recipes you see on the show, remember you can download them from www.foodtv.ca after the show airs.

Chow for now!

Can hardly wait for your new shows to start. My boys are tired of watching the re-runs with me. Looking forward to seeing what you have come up with on old favorites - we enjoy sheppards pie, so it will be fun to try your recipe. We try at least one of your recipes a week, most are a big hit! Thank you to you both for all the hard work and fun that you put into your books!

I am so happy to hear this! FoodTV just isn’t the same without you both, I just adore your show. Fat-reduced fudge? Is that even possible?! I cant wait!

congratulations for the filming! :) You’ve gone through a huge step ahead! I hope your book has already reached my mom’s doorstep before she comes back home here in Manila! :)

I had sent the address already to the mail while you girls were out, someone has sent me a reply.

I am soooo excited to watch all of your great new spins on old school recipes. I was always scared to try cooking healthy because I never knew what I was doing. The two of you have made it sooo much easier for me to cook healthy. Even my boyfriend who is “not so” health concerned loves your recipes….I just happen to forget to tell him where I got them. hehehe. Thank you again for making so easy and I look forward to watching all of your new episodes.
